Together, we are facing a truly unprecedented situation. The global coronavirus pandemic is affecting all of our families, our businesses, our communities, and our way of life. During this time, I wanted to reach out and update you on how we’re approaching the situation at Monocon.

First and foremost, our hearts go out to anyone who's been impacted by the virus, either directly or indirectly. Our thoughts are especially with those who are sick, to whom we extend our heartfelt wishes for a full recovery. Additionally, we are truly inspired by the selfless healthcare workers around the world who are on the front lines working tirelessly to care for people in need.

At Monocon’s UK Operations, in line with UK Government advice, we have initiated appropriate actions to minimise risk to our employees to, as far as is practicably possible, ensure we have a healthy and safe working environment and mitigate the risk as far as possible. We review the UK governments advice on a daily basis and adapt our working practices accordingly.

As well as various in-house hygiene protocols, we are strictly monitoring and restricting where necessary, our business travellers, visitors and adopting ‘work from home’ practices for some employees where practicable.

We are monitoring updates related to the coronavirus outbreak for potential impacts on our product supply chain. We understand that supply chains are a global concern and strive to stay informed and be prepared. Our Sourcing team is working closely with our suppliers to identify any significant issues with their production/supply chain to Monocon in order to minimise the risk of disruptions as far as possible to our customers.

With respect to Monocon manufacturing team, we have a very high level of cross functional training and inter product manufacturing expertise and expect to be able to continue with some degree of manufacture of all products even if numbers of personnel are depleted through absenteeism from the workplace. We are encouraging our customers to order additional stock of critical products so that we are able to minimise any potential shortfall in stock levels and commit to supporting our customers to the best of our ability.

We will continue to monitor the coronavirus situation and work to mitigate any supply disruptions. As always, we are committed to keeping affected customers informed as we learn of anticipated adverse impacts on our product supply chain.
